GE Snapshot Background

General Electric wanted to tell their story a different way. Instead of droning on and on during a sales pitch, they wanted to interact with the customer.  I lead the concept and development of a web application, enabling GE's sales team to visually tell their story. GE Snapshot is an interactive application that allows the user to sort through hundreds of customer stories through filtering of industry, asset type, and location.

I lead 6 different teams (including product marketing, IT, management, software development, monitoring services, and a UI/UX team), to create something the business had never built before. One salesperson told me,

“This is literally going to change the way I initially approach customers.”

Demand Generation

What started off as a set of customer stories to arm our sales force turned into a full fledged demand generation campaign. We started off by pushing the content out via an opt-in email list, pushing out content on a weekly basis called “Catch of the Week.” We then brought it to our social platforms where we could engage in conversation and amplify the stories.
